Press Release – December 15,2004 TELEVISION AND INTERNET AT THE GOURMAND WORLD COOKBOOK AWARDS On February 11,2005 the awards ceremony of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards will be filmed as usual every year by several televisions, from various countries. Winners will be interviewed individually after the ceremony. For the first time the whole event will be filmed for an internet broadcast so that all can follow this glamorous event on the worldwide web. For cookbook awards, the host will be the French food television star Yvan Cadiou, who can speak English, Spanish and Portuguese as he has worked on television in the UK as well as France, and in restaurants in France, Spain, Portugal and Barbados. For wine books awards, the host will be the Champagne expert and Swedish television star Richard Juhlin. After Barcelona last year, the event will take place in Sweden. There is a culinary revolution in Sweden. Scandinavia is becoming a leading market for food television shows, and already is the world leader for sales of cookbooks per person. See you in Sweden! |
